MACAPA
Located in the heart of Piauí’s coastline, at the mouth of the Camurupim river, Macapá is a peaceful and authentic fishermen’s village. With its flat waters and endless beaches, the landscape is breathtaking. The strong winds are delightful for all the tourists and athletes whom undertake the adventures of the “Emotions Road”, 250km long, linking Jericoacoara to the Lençois Maranhenses. Neighboring the Delta do Parnaíba’s natural reserve, Macapa’s mangrove is a sanctuary for several marine species such as manatees and seahorses as well as some migratory birds like the red guará.
POUSADA
We welcome you into our home with all the comfort you need. Located just 100 meters from the beach and on the only cobbled street of Macapá, the pousada offers 4 double occupancy bungalows with ample storage, a swimming pool, and a restaurant.
A warm welcome, some private corners to relax combined with a simple and open architecture will enable you to enjoy the tranquility of this unique fishermen’s village.
RESTAURANT
Our restaurant offers a fresh, homemade and flavorful selection of dishes, combining locally sourced products and international recipes to satisfy our local and international guests’.
We offer a table service breakfast with a wide variety of fresh fruits and juices, typical dishes and many other delights.
During the day, we offer a snack menu, sandwiches and natural açaí, while in the evening you can enjoy a pleasant dinner in the atmosphere of the pousada’s restaurant. Every night we propose daily fresh dishes with vegetarian options available.
ROOMS
Our bungalows offer a simple, cozy atmosphere through a mixture of modern architecture and local building techniques, such as the Carnauba’s palm leaf roofs which are typical of the region. The construction has been designed to use natural ventilation assured by the many openings in the bungalows.
Each bungalow is equipped with a Queen size bed, a fan, a minibar, Wi-Fi and a storage room.
KITESURF
Still vastly unknown from the large public, Macapá is considered to be one of Brazil’s best kitesurf spots. The onshore wind is constant and superior to 20 knots between August and January and spiking over 35 knots between September and November. The large tidal variations offer a playground in constant evolution, perfect for every level. Macapá is also a highly regarded location for downwind groups heading to the Lençoís Maranhenses.

ABOUT US
We are a young couple, Julie (Swiss) and Stéphane (French-Brazilian), who decided to completely change our way of life moving from Switzerland to Brazil. After receiving our diplomas in hotel management, and collecting professional experience, we decided to fulfil our dream of a simple and authentic life living from our passion for hospitality.
After living in the State of Bahia for a year, we went on a road trip to discover the Northeast of Brazil. A trip scheduled to last a couple of months ended up lasting a couple of weeks. As soon as we arrived in Macapá, we fell in love with the place and decided to stay here and start our real adventure, building and operating our own pousada.
